Our Story
Built By A Denver Roofer Who Got Tired Of Watching Homeowners Get Burned
Summit Ridge Roofing has been climbing ladders across the Front Range since 2011 — started by one guy with a truck and a work ethic, now a full crew serving the entire Denver metro.
How Summit Ridge Started
Dale Whitfield spent nine years running crews for a national roofing outfit before he'd had enough of watching adjusters and sales reps talk homeowners into roofs they didn't need — or worse, past hail claims that got denied because the paperwork was sloppy. In 2011, after a brutal spring hailstorm tore through Jefferson County, Dale started Summit Ridge Roofing out of a used pickup truck, working Wheat Ridge and Golden rooftops one at a time.
Word spread fast. By 2015 Summit Ridge had grown into two full install crews and an in-house claims specialist. Today we're a licensed, insured roofing contractor with a permanent shop in Wheat Ridge, covering everything from Broomfield down to Highlands Ranch, still run day-to-day by Dale and a small leadership team who all started out on the roof, not behind a desk.
What We Stand For
Craftsmanship Over Shortcuts
Proper decking, proper underlayment, proper flashing — every time, even on the parts of the roof no one inspects.
Straight Talk, No Upsell
If a repair will outlast a replacement, we'll tell you. If your roof is fine, we'll tell you that too.
Safety First, On Every Roof
Harnesses, tie-offs, and jobsite protocols our crews actually follow — not just a poster in the shop.
Storm-Ready, Around The Clock
When Colorado weather turns, our tarping crew answers — day, night, weekend, doesn't matter.
